Create Your Quest, a 10 day transformation process in nature,

Inspired by the ancestral Vision Quest rite of passage tradition, Create Your Quest is an invitation for you to become silent, listen and reconnect with a deep understanding of your life’s purpose.
Are you ready to confirm a transition in life, looking for space to gain clarity over inner doubts, seeking focus on how to best make a difference in the world or simply wanting for time alone in nature?
This age-old practice serves to help discover what you are here for, what you can give and above all gain direction and power for life.
Create your Quest is a personalised transformation program including
individual online preparation, 10 days in a beautiful protected area of
the Alta Garrotxa Natural Park (Spanish Pyrenees) and follow up support.
Online guidance: one-to-one skype to help focus your intention and prepare for the Quest during the weeks before
Day 1 · Arrival. Program orientation, getting to know the group and facilitators.
Day 2-4 · Collective Intelligence. Sit in council, listen to the group’s wisdom, share personal stories, reconnect with ancient insights, undertake short assignments in nature, mindfulness practice through meditation and yoga and time to find your spot for the solo
Day 5-7 · Solo time. Maximum three days and nights alone in nature away from distractions of daily life, with time for celebration and confirmation of a deepened understanding of your place in the world. This is your time, you will know what you need.
Day 8-10 · Re-integration. Share your story in Council, being mirrored and witness the process of others, define the next steps of your integration process back home.
Ongoing support · Before you leave we will create small groups to meet online or in person and support you when you go back to your life. Two months after the process we will meet again online or in person to further support the integration of your insights.
Inspired by Joanna Macy, Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer and others this Program is particularly suited for people working towards social change in their professional lives, using nature’s great teacher to help discover how best we can contribute to this time of great transition by being true to our own purpose and calling.
Wiebke Nedel works as a freelance facilitator worldwide. She lives in South Africa and devotes her work and life to personal development and leadership in a global context. As International Programme Manager of Educo Africa she runs wilderness and community based Social Justice and conscious global citizenship courses for groups of academics, professionals and young people from all over the world. Experiential methodology and the use of wilderness as a tool for growth and self-recognition are central in her work. She has an MA in Education (Germany) and is a certified Wilderness and Vision Quest guide (South Africa/ USA) with 20 years of experience.
Joschi Sedlak, Vision Quest Guide and Council facilitator, moderator, coach and Art of Hosting facilitator has an MA in peacestudies and conflict transformation, worked in various social NGOs and has put the last years his love in the year-long training for social entrepreneurs „Pioneers of Change“. His passion is to support people finding their vocation and to combine social transformation with personal mindfulness and happiness.
Thaddeus Lawrence is an experienced coach on a mission to empower teams and individuals through heart-centered listening and audacious goal setting. He is especially adept at simplifying learning tools and making them relevant for daily use. As an executive coach, Thaddeus drives behaviour change and capability building of emergent managers and high potentials in the areas of career growth and personal effectiveness. He trains individuals to be more confident and competent in their personal and professional goals, and is part of the Asian faculty in a global consulting firm to coach managers to chart leadership paths, sharpen managerial and advisory edge and become more influential communicators.
The Quest is located in the beautiful protected area of Alta Garrotxa, in the Spanish Pyrenees. We will be based about an hour’s drive from Gerona airport, at the comfortable country masia “Can Bosch” located at 900 metres above sea level within the natural park and Sant Aniol valley. The masia is off grid, with solar water heating, photovoltaic panels and wood-chip stoves and is set within 600 hectares of mixed leaf forest with stunning views across the valleys where you will choose your solo spot.
You can reach the Quest by rail, road or plane. There are good flight connections to Girona or Barcelona airport and getting to Girona by train is also convenient. We offer a pick-up service on the evening of the arrival day from Girona train station or airport. If you need further assistance with organising your travel, please contact us.
Food & fasting
While at the house we will share three healthy, vegetarian meals per day, using local and organic produce where possible and introducing a light, cleansing diet to prepare you for your solo where you will have the opportunity to fast or take simple provisions with you. For those of you interested in a deeper cleanse we encourage you to cut down on coffee, animal products, cigarettes and alcohol for at least a week before and will give you more guidance on fasting before you arrive.
We run a risk management and safety policy for all our programs and will give you a basic training to ensure your maximum safety while on your solo time. All our staff are covered by our company liability insurance which can be sent to you on request. You will need to complete a medical information form before registering for the programme.
Fees & registration
Program fee: € 900.- + Food. Acommodation & Transport fee: €250. The full fee includes two sessions of online coaching before and after the Quest.
Solidarity Program fee: €1.200 + Food. Acommodation & Transport fee: €250. For those who can pay a little more than the program fee; we operate a gift economy encouraging you to support those less well off. Your donation will contribute to the scholarship fund.
Food, acommodation & transport includes organic and local food, accommodation in a confortable house in a natural park, and a transfer service from Girona airport or train station.
To reserve your place a non-refundable deposit of 250€ is required and complete payment should be made by 30 days before the program starts. Please see our refund policy and full terms and conditons here.
We do not wish to exclude people with a low income. Some scholarships and other funding opportunities are available towards the cost of participating in our program, and we encourage those who need help with payment to write us.
Places are limited to keep a small, intimate group and will be given on a first come, first serve basis so please make your booking as soon as possible.
